We left Sunday and apparently missed a huge storm that flooded many parts of Ramona. I'm so glad that we missed that driving! The traffic was bad enough on the way up there. We checked into our hotel room and right before entering our room, Johnny puked everywhere!! Pretty sure he had some kind of bug because he hadn't eaten much that day but what he did eat came up and all over the floor. He was a trooper though, he took some meds and kept on going. We hit the pool at our hotel in the rain. The pool was warm and murky :( and there was a kid's splash zone with a slide but the big kids wouldn't try it. Once it started pouring we called it a day and headed back to our room. That night we went to Mideval Times (only Robert has been) and we cheered on the red knight. The kids enjoyed the food, cheering and booing the other knights. The food was okay. Our knight won, which made the kids so happy.
Annabelle was SO EXCITED to get a flower from the red knight. We were in the back row and Robert held her up and the knight threw it to her. She thought it was a rose and was calling it Rosie all night :)
Not sure if we were smart in keeping the kids up so late on Sunday night, but I think they really enjoyed the show. We got to the hotel late and then Johnny decided to throw up all over the bed. Luckily we were able to just strip off the comforter, throw it in the hallway and go to bed. We woke up the kids pretty early on Monday as we wanted to get to the park early. They were so tired and when we finally told them where we were going, there wasn't much emotion. Annabelle told me it was because she had never been there before so how could she be excited. Joan and Dave meet us at the hotel and went with us to Disney. It was so nice having extra bodies that could help with the 3 kids. We ended up going on 5 rides right away with no lines. We were so happy to have gone on Splash Mtn two times in a row because of no lines. First Logan sat up front with Daddy and then the kids swapped places. I have photos on my phone that I will download later and add. After the first couple of hours it was pretty hit or miss on getting on rides. The park filled up pretty quickly and then we ate lunch, took the train ride and then headed back to the hotel for naps. We let the kids sleep and then headed out for dinner. Disney was still chaos!! We went on a couple more rides and then nativigated around the park and saw the fireworks. Those were pretty amazing!! I don't think I have ever been that close to them before. Annie was all smiles as Let it Go started playing and fake snow fell from the sky. Johnny lasted through the fireworks and then crashed on the way back. I told Robert we aren't going back for another 5 years when the kids are older and we will take a day off of work and school to go at a time when it is not so crowded. Robert is planning to stay at a Disney hotel next time because they are so amazing!!
Other tid-bids
Johnny enjoyed the rides, there was times he was cranky in line and then mesmorized by all - even Pirates, which I thought could be a lil scary.
Logan was the one to want to see the characters. We saw 3 princesses as soon as we got in and I thought Annie would want to see them, but she was super shy and informed me that she only wanted to see Anna and Elsa.
Logan insisted on see Mickey and kept asking when he was going to see him, luckily in Toon Town he stays in his house and so Logan went and said hi. Johnny had just woken up from a nap and wasn't too keen on Mickey.
Both kids enjoyed the roller coasters. Big thunder mtn was scary to Logan but then he wanted to go on it again.
Dumbo is lame and takes entirely too long! Johnny did like that he could control the elephant and was saying Dumbo while waiting in line.
Never ever go to Disney in the summer!!
I was surprised that the kids never asked for anything while we were at Disney. Logan wanted Ice Cream at oen point but neither one of them begged for any toys or such.
It was a great experience and the kids seemed to love it!
