Pumpkin Patch and Union Picnic

It was great to have Robert off work because he could join us at the pumpkin patch on a weekday.  It can get pretty crowded on the weekend and we went on a Friday morning and there was only 2 other families there.  The kids had fun running around all the pumpkins and did a nice job posing for me when I asked.  Logan was on the hunt for a big pumpkin while Annabelle went looking for a small one.  We ended up with three pumpkins, large, medium and small.  

 Saturday, we watched Robert play football and then headed to Santee Lakes for his union picnic.  Gave in and let the kids have snow cones and they were an absolute disaster toward the end.  Those cups are so dang flimbsy for having ice and juice in them!  Annie sucked down her entire snow cone and Logan was done after about 5 minutes.  There were more important things to do like jump in the jumpy, pick out a prize or ride a bike next to the lake.

 This onsie couldn't be more true, one of Robert's co-workers picked up this for us.  Couldn't be happier that we booked a trip to Vegas last January.

First two weeks

In no particular order...

We have survived the first two weeks, mostly because the kids are going to preschool and Robert has been home.  He will most likely return to work next week and then I will have to get out of bed when the kids wake up instead of sleeping in or nursing in bed.  Kids used to get to preschool by 7 and now it is more like 9.  They don't seem to mind the easy going morning instead of the mad rush.  Robert has been able to get more projects done around the house, we now have a working dishwasher, washer and dryer.  He has removed most of the brush and cut down more trees.  Our laundry room is mold free and will hopefully stay that way.  We need to put in new dry wall and are looking at fencing off the property.  This would make Mya happier and make us feel more secure.  Johnathan is a great baby, he is very chill and such a treat. He is growing, he was up to 6.5 at our doctor visit last week.  He was basically gaining an ounce a day so I if that is still holding true he should be getting close to 7 lbs.  He is filling out his newborn diapers and clothes better.  He has had a couple of 3 - 4 hours of sleep which was wonderful for me.  I'll try and do a better job of taking photos.  Until next time....

Update

Johnathan arrived on Thursday at 10:20 and started crying from the get go.  He is a small 6 lbs 8 oz and weighed in last night at 6 lbs 1 oz.  He has dark brown hair and a scrunchy face.  He loves to be held by mom and usually just falls right asleep on me after eating and would be perfectly happy to stay there until the next feeding.  He is a good eater despite his grazing.  He latched right away after he was weighed and measured.  He has long feet and is 19.5 inches.  He rarely makes too big of a fuss.  He has enjoyed all of his visitors and survived big brother and sister yesterday.  Logan and Annie were happy to meet him and Annie has claimed him as her baby.  It is going to be hard for her to keep her hands off him.  I will get  pics when I go home tomorrow.

Tomorrow

So tomorrow is the big day.  It is weird because I really haven't taken the time to think about it.  I realize there has been a baby growing inside of me and that he reminds me all the time by his constant movement, but I haven't allowed myself to think about the fact that I will have an infant tomorrow and I will be a mother of three.  I nervous about the baby stage again and feel like a first time mom all over again.  The kids are excited but I'm not quite sure if they really get it.  They know we are headed to the hospital and that  Johnny is ready to come out of mommy's tummy.  I am also nervous about the recovery, thankfully Robert will be home with me for a week.  I am excited to see what this little guy looks like and to see how big he is.  The doctor said he might be a 7 lb baby... I did a horrible job of taking pictures this pregnancy, I'll try to get Robert to take one in the morning.  I'll try to post pics of Johnny as soon as I get home from the hospital.  
Hopefully I sleep good tonight, think good thoughts tomorrow morning.
