6 month check up

I took Johnny to the doctor today for his 6 month well check.  He did well and showed off that he is getting better at sitting up, not quite stable but we are getting there AND he is starting to rock on all fours!  I am excited for the little guy but I am in a panic that he will soon be crawling.  My house is way too dirty to have a little guy crawling around putting everything that he finds into his mouth!
His stats are in the car, but I do remember that he weighs 19 lbs 73% and is 34% for height, which I can't recall - I'll add here later 26 1/2 in.  He is still taller than the twins were.  We put him in a walker at my parents and the twins never used it because they were never tall enough to reach the ground before they started walking.  Johnny is already scooting back in the thing.
I talked with the doctor about his poor sleeping habits and she said it is time to drop the middle of the night feeding and let him cry.  I told her how he screams and won't give in.  She said it is okay it won't damage him and he has to learn how to put himself back to sleep.  So tonight we are starting - not sure that I am ready to sit and listen to the poor thing cry - but I am ready to sleep through the night again.  Once he figures out how to sleep at night we can work on naps.
Johnny cut his first top tooth on Sunday night and the second one is right there, just hasn't quite cut through.  That next tooth will put his count to 4 teeth.  I am very nervous nursing now and truthfully with the middle of the night nursing session over with, will only nurse him a couple of times a day while still at school.  Did I mention there are only 5 1/2 weeks left of school!!!

The big kids are doing well and enjoying the week home with Mom and Dad.  Robert is a superstar and doing all sorts of projects all over the outside of our property.  We should have a up and running pool soon as well as a garden.  We are looking into purchasing a water tank to use for both the house and pool.  Just trying to cut out the middle man and spend a little less money on having someone else bring water over.  I'll post pictures of the property and the kids soon.

Off to the beach tomorrow and maybe the Zoo on Sunday while everyone else is celebrating Easter.
