Robert and I noticed Logan favoring his leg on Monday afternoon but he was still running around, jumping, etc. we asked him if his foot hurt, we squeezed round and tried to ice his foot but he really wasn't interested. Yesterday when he woke up he was limping slightly but still not complaining and said nothing hurt, well he was limping pretty bad after nap so I took him (and Annie) to urgent care in ramona. We were there for at least 4 hours! The kids did really well for being couped up that long. Logan got X-rays and they found 2 fractures in his left ankle. We were told to go to children's and that they would cast him to his hip! So, after a quick dinner Joan and I headed down for our dreaded trip to children's. We got there around 8:30, were seen by the triage nurse fairly quickly for down there but then our long wait started. The weird thing was that one of Logan's friend from preschool was there too for his eyes and they "played" and watched tv together. Once we were finally seen by the doctor, they took more X-rays and she was not as concerned as the urgent care doctor. Logan received a splint and then we were sent on our way. He finally fell asleep on the way home, I think we left around 12:30! We have an ortho appointment tomorrow to get an expert opinion and to see if his leg needs a cast. Logan slept until 9 this morning, then we made a special trip to the store where he picked out a bagel and muffin for breakfast. We are watching tv but he is already asking to play golf, play in the boxes and go outside. This is going to be torture for him! I'll update tomorrow, their birthday, on what ortho says.
Take care
