Busy, busy

It has been quite a while since I have written!  We have been pretty busy and I haven't taken any photos in a while, so just a bunch of words - sorry.

We got our free passes from Sea World and I braved the park by myself one Monday in February .  We were one of the only school districts to have the day off and it was perfect.  Great weather, we saw a lot of animals, watched the pet show and I didn't have a mental breakdown.  Johnny absolutely loves animals and loved seeing all the animals up close with the glass.  We hit the play area twice, it was nice that the big kids can do the climbing all by themselves and Johnny could do the baby bouncing.  The other kids just a bit older were not happy that he kept knocking over their towers.  I'm glad that we have this year left with the preschool passes, now if it weren't so much to park!

We took a trip to Yuma a few weekends ago.  The kids love going and it was a nice quick visit with Jason and Lis.  We stayed two nights, Johnny and I slept together and Robert slept with the big kids.  The weather was great, Robert and I went for a run along the canals and orange groves.  The kids played outside for most of the day and Johnny just used the doggie door over the actual door.

Johnny continues to grow and grow.  He can reach the counters, opens drawers and takes things out, opens any and all doors, and started climbing up the side of Logan's bed yesterday.  I'm just hoping he doesn't figure out the crib anytime soon.  He loves animals, being outside, tries to ride Logan's big hike, loves on Mya and gives her treats, doesn't have many words, is a complete momma's boy, loves smoothies in the morning, dances all the time and tries so hard to keep up with Logan and Annabelle. He was/is sick this week, fever two days and still has a cough and runny nose.  He has been miserable the last couple days and has been sleeping more, which is nice.  I realized that I was letting him take advantage of me by getting him when he would scream in the middle of the night or at 4.  I finally just let him cry and it only took him two nights to figure out I wasn't going to get him.

Logan is also quite the dancer!  He enjoys dancing and trying new tricks.  He is so active!  He can do 3 really decent push ups.  He can push from a headstand to a handstand at tumbling.  He is pretty fearless which scares me a bit.  We are working with him to learn his letters, he doesn't really care to and messes around when we work on them, but when I threaten him with something he all the sudden knows more.  Getting him to write is also a struggle, he doesn't like to color or practice writing him name.  We have been working with play dough and whiteboards.

Annie is becoming quite the little human.  The things that she days and does blow my mind.  She cares what she wears and is now into doing her own hair.  Sounds great, right? It takes her 15 minutes to do her hair in the morning!  She brushes it until it is soft and then adds her barrettes.  She does a decent job, but my goodness I just see the future of the boys yelling at Annie to get out of the bathroom so they can brush their hair or teeth.  She knows almost all of her letters and a good amount of her sounds, I think Logan knows more sounds then the actual letters.  She is her normal bossy self and is quite the drama queen.  We went to urgent care with an ear infection this week and I swear we got in quickly only because she was nonstop crying in the waiting room.  Worked to our advantage.

It crazy that it is already March, only 13 weeks left of school!  The kids will do one more year of preschool and start kinder at 6.  In talking with the kinder teachers and just taking my kids size into account I think it is best to wait.  I'm hoping they will be socially and emotionally ready at 6.  Most of their friends at school will start kinder this next year and it will be a little hard on them, but I really do think it is for the best.  Johnny will start school at 5, but will turn 6 that October.  We are looking into what sports they may be ready to play, Robert wants Logan to do basketball.  I think indoor soccer is the best at this age because you don't have to worry about the ball going out of bounds but then we would have to travel to poway....

Kids went to the dentist this week.  Annie was a champ and did X-rays and a cleaning.  Logan barely got his teeth cleaned.  Daddy has to take him next time because he is too big of a baby with mommy.  Their teeth look good, but their teeth are already close together and poor Logan has my teeth.

Upcoming, camp is in three weeks, but I am only staying one night.  Only a couple weeks left of tumbling.  Spring break!!!! Hopefully I'll break out the camera again soon.  I have a lot of sunset pics from Robert to go through and share.
