Pumpkin Patch

We finally made it to the pumpkin patch.  The actual patch was pretty picked over and it looks as though they just placed pumpkins strategically around, but the kids had fun nonetheless.   I tried to get some nice photos of the kids, Annabelle will pose, Logan will make a goofy face or gesture and Johnny is too easily distracted!  Oh well, they had a great time and we came home with some nice size pumpkins.  They haven't decided whether we are going to paint them or carve them.  Hopefully, we will find some time this weekend to get that done before Halloween.

Johnathan is 3!!!

Johnathan is now 3!!  He is our monster man with so many personalities!  He is talking a lot, with mutiple sentences.  I understand most of what he is saying but sometimes I have no clue.  He enjoys singing, mostly songs from school.  He is mostly potty-trained, there are just some days he could care less if he sits there and pees.  We are working on getting him to sleep in his own bed.  He is a night owl and takes forever to fall asleep, we have been letting him fall asleep in our bed and then transfering.  However, he always ends up back in our bed at some point during the night.  We are trying our best to get him to fall asleep in his own bed and then staying there - there may be some chocolate involved!  He goes to all the kids activities and can't wait to be involved in something.  He got a pair of soccer cleats and a soccer ball for his birthday, so now he dresses teh part for soccer games.  He enjoys playing with Annie and Logan and they get along a good amount of time.  Johnny's best friend is Tommy and they have a love/hate relationship.  They are great together until they are not and then there is pushing, shoving and biting.  Then they are great again, the life of three year-olds.  His favortie color is yellow and finds everything that is yellow!  He chose a minoin birthday cake because they are yellow.  We had a small birthday party with family and he enjoyed every minute of it, truthfully we weren't going to do anything but then he kept asking when we were going to sing him happy birthday.

Soccer

The kids are playing soccer again this season.  They seperated the boys and girls and changed the field size.  They are playing 4 on 4 with no goalie.  Logan was pretty bumed, because he wanted to try and be goalie this season.  Logan has secured his position as the team's defender.  He has gotten much better about charging to the ball and clearing it.  Everyonce in a while he will completely miss the ball, but he is pretty quick so most of the time he can get his missed ball before it makes it into the goal.  He is on a pretty good team this year, they just beat the team they were tied for first place with yesterday.  There are good little boys on his team and they are having a great time!!  Annie has improved this season from last year.  She would only last about 5 minutes of playing time and then she wanted a break.  This season due to a coach and daughter leaving, the girls don't have much time for resting.  She still has quite a bit of work to do, but doesn't share the crazy drive to succeed that Logan does.  She says that she enjoys soccer and wants to continue playing.  Robert and I decided she doesn't really have a choice, but we are glad that she has fun.  She is on the same team as her bestie and they are just happy to spend time with each other.  I think we will have her play spring soccer this year to continue to work on her skill and understanding of the game.  Time will tell.  Annie's team is challenging to watch and they are not doing so well this year.  We have two games left, hopefully they will pull out another win.

KINDERGARTEN!!!

My kids had their first day of Kindergarten today.  They were super excited to start and had a great day.  Robert took the kids in the morning and I picked them up from school.  They did great and Logan claimed he was a star in class!  I didn't get all the first day photos that I would have liked, but here a few.  Cory snapped a few pictures during the school day through the fence.  Both kids said that they made new friends and are ready to go back tomorrow.
