Beginning of Summer!!

This marks the first official week of summer!!  My friend Debbie and I took the kids, plus 1 to the animal park on Tuesday.  It was such a great day!  There were hardly any people there, the sun didn't come out until noon, and the kids did awesome.

How cute are these three???  They all got along so well throughout the day.

Robert's coworker's wife found this book and gave it to us.  This is what I call Annie all the time - Annie Bananie!  It was our first chapter book together and I was happy with how well Annie was able to pay attention to the story with very limited pictures.  It was a cute little story and didn't take us much time to get through it, but now she wants to read chapter books.  I just started to read Flat Stanley to the kids.  That is such a weird book by the way.  Anyhow, Annie is actually looking at the words as I read because she will pick out words that she recognizes, especially when we were reading Annie Banana - her name was all over that book!  I am hoping to instill a love of reading with my kids!  Now, I just need to find a first good book of the summer.

Another set of stitches

Logan decided to join the club and get stitches of his own.  He busted his chin open at preschool playing basketball a couple of weeks ago.  It was almost exactly 2 weeks after Annie got hers.  He got 6 stitches in the chin and was the bravest ninja! He laid so still on the table getting shots and then getting stitches.  He also did very well when the doctor had to take them out.

Preschool Promotion!!

Logan and Annabelle had their preschool promotion last week.  It was very cute and nice and short.  They sang some songs, said their alpha-friends (letter sounds), spelled their names and received their promotion certificates.  It was hard to get them to stand still long enough afterwards to get photos.  Still can't believe that I will have two kids in Kindergarten in August!!

My Goodness

I kept trying to get out to the office since Spring Break but never found/or made enough time to.  So much has happened...

Annabelle lost her first tooth!  It went from "OMG, my tooth is wiggly!" to it coming out the very next day at preschool.  Her adult tooth has already started to make a small appearance.  Logan lost his bottom tooth last summer due to his recklessness, however, his adult tooth is most of the way in.  It is amazing how big those adult teeth look!  His second bottom tooth has started to wiggle a little, so I don't think that one is too far off.  They are also both getting their 6 year old molars.  Annie's bottom two are almost in and Logan's top ones are just starting to make an appearance.

We had the annual preschool carnival.  This year they added in a play section that the kids were in.  We practiced their lines for the couple weeks before and both did well.  Johnny just hung onto Nana.

Last weekend, we were at Amani's birthday party and Annabelle and Johnny ended up running into each other and bumping heads.  Johnny came out with not a scratch and Annie ended up with 13 stitches.  It was a scary moment that Annie handled amazingly.  She got 3 internal and 10 external stitches right abover her eyebrow.  She had her stitches removed but the cut is still covered in bandaids, those will come off in about a week and then we will know what it looks like.

Johnathan is finally getting on board with potty training!!  He just recently started to tell me when he has to go to the bathroom, which is a huge improvement over just going in his underwear. :)

The kids are just getting bigger and bigger and doing so much more.  Johnathan is talking a lot!  Strangers have a hard time understanding him, but I pretty much know what he is saying.  Usually it is in context so that makes it easier.  Logan is enjoying jiu jitsu and has recently taken up working out with Dad on Sundays.  He enjoys it and always steps up to the challenges that Robert gives him.  Both kids will probably play soccer in the fall and then we will go from there.

Only one more week of school, a few days of summer school and then the partying begins!!
