Dentist

I finally took my big kids to the dentist yesterday.  We spent a couple of weeks prepping them for the visit.  I would pretend to be the dentist and count their teeth, brush and floss, and then make a noise like the sprayer.  They have enjoyed pretending and even played the part of the dentist with me.  I was most nervous about them getting there and then not participating at all.  Logan is my more timid kid so I knew Annie had to go first and have a good experience.  I took them to the dentist that Robert and I just starting going to, they are not a pediatric dentist but they said they would see them.  Annie did amazing, she let Tessa, a friend from high school, clean her teeth, floss them and poke around.  It was a tremendous help that there is a tv on the ceiling and they had the movie Frozen.  They saw a bit of the movie at a friend's birthday party and Annie was memorized during her whole visit.  Logan had talked about going to the dentist and not crying and opening his mouth.  Once it was his turn, he wasn't game.  He ended up laying on my lap and barely opening his mouth.  He sort-of got his teeth cleaned.  Tessa was able to get a good look at his teeth and the poor boy has my teeth.  He is destined for braces and a lifetime of taking good care of his teeth.  Both kids had good exams and no cavities.  They got a new toothbrush and a toy from the dentist, then I took them for frozen yogurt after for being such good kids.  We will go back in 6 months.

We have been busy with this or that every weekend and it continues this weekend with the preschool carnival and my mom's birthday.  One more week until Spring Break and even though we haven't been in this house for very long I want to get some spring cleaning done.  Partly because when we moved in I was 8 months pregnant and couldn't do much and really haven't found the time to do it since.  I always have big plans for breaks but only get a minimal amount done, so we will see.

Johnny turns 6 months tomorrow, so I hope to take and post pics then.

We have a tooth

Johnny broke through his first tooth yesterday.  He has three more on the way as well.  He second bottom tooth is right there and will probably pop through soon.  His two top might take a little longer but you can see them.  Annie got her first tooth at 5 months and Logan at 6, so Johnny is right inbetween.  I'll see f I can get a photo :)

Sea World

Last weekend I decided to take the kids to SeaWorld.  All the kids and I have a free pass and we were lucky enough to have Joan, David, Jessica and Lindsay join us.  The weather was beautiful and the kids had such a great time.  They are at a really fun age where they understand so much and get joy out of everything.

First stop was the rides and then the one open splash part.  Logan was timid at first but they both enjoyed playing in the water.

We attended the Shamu Show and David and Joan took Annie and Logan to the front row! they got soaked and Logan said he didn't like it because Shamu splashed him in the eyes.  You can see them in the photo below because Logan is wearing that bright green shirt.

It will be quite a long time until they are tall enough for the big kid rides.
