SIX!!

SIX!!!  We celebrated the twins birthday with a "small" birthday party.  Small meaning, all their cousins and a few friends - which equates to quite a few kiddos in the pool.  If you look closely, there are some dads in there too.

I let the kids decide what they wanted for their birthday treat.  I may have swayed thier thinking to two different chocolate options. Annie had brownie with swirl frosting, pink sprinkles and a number six candle.  Logan had chocolate cake with swirl frosting and a number six with orange frosting.  Annie also requested strawberries and once Logan saw that, he wouldn't go without.

Jason, may or may not have been sitting too close to the pool??

Comparison of their first day to SIX!!

Present time was complete chaos!!  Two kids opening as fast as they can is just ridiculous.  Annabelle was too cute and posed after every gift.

Jiu Jitsu

Logan had his first Jiu Jitsu tournament on Saturday.  He was so excited, he was bouncing off the walls at 4:30AM!!  It didn't seem like he was nervous at all, just excited to be out there.  There were three people in his age and weight class.  It seemed like that was the norm for most brackets.  He fought first and did well, kept trying to get an arm bar, but didn't really get the arm well.  He won on points, 8 - 0.  He then sat for a while watching the other kids go.  Then he had a first place match.  He won again, with a rear naked choke with 10 seconds left in the match.  He dominated in points,
14 - 0.  I have a video of the second match, I will try and load it.  He then went and cheered on his teammates.  It was a pretty cool experience and I think we will do another tournament in August in San Diego.

Another Tooth

Logan has lost tooth #2 and truthfully his two top teeth seem a bit unstable!  I don't understand how kids get these enormous adult teeth and still have all their baby teeth in there - there is no room!

We have been busy this summer.  We have gone to the beach, Sea World, multiple trips to the library and we are off to the Animal Park again tomorrow.  The weather lately has been wonderful.  It has been nice to leave the windows open all day long and get fresh air throughout the whole house.  July is a super busy month!  We had Lis's birthday here this weekend, the 4th was spent with cousins in the pool and watching fireworks from my parent's patio, Holly's babyshower is this weekend (can't believe there is going to be a new cousin very soon!!!), Logan has his first Jiu Jitsu tournament next Saturday, a couple of birthdays (can't believe I will have 6 year olds very soon!!!), then Robert and I are off to Vegas.  We are spending the first few days together with friends and then I am staying for math training.  I will be gone for a whole week!!
My girl has really taken a liking to reading.  She took home 8 books from the library yesterday and I had to tell her no more, we can go back.  She is doing very well with sounding out words, but gets frustrated easily.  She thinks that it should be easy and I hope she learns the lesson now, that it is okay to struggle.
Even though Sea World was crowded we were able to do everything we wanted with very short lines.  I took Johnny to see Elmo while the big kids went on the giant obstacle course and then they came down and wanted to meet Elmo too.  No big deal, waited for maybe 5 minutes.

Annie's first sign on her room.  It is amazing!
Logan literally lost his tooth in the car.  He wrote a note to the toothfairy and still got a dollar!!
Little boys taking care of business at gymnastics.  They are so funny.
