Fun with Friends

We went to the Blue Grass Festival yesterday and met some friends there.  The kids had a blast playing together and it was nice to just sit and relax, listen to some music and let the kids run wild.
At one point we were asked if they were triplets :)

So much to say

I have been terrible at updating this!  I know, partly because I misplaced my camera and it took me a while to find it but also because I was just being lazy.  I'm at school now eating lunch, so I'll have to update the post later with pictures.  Life has just been nuts and I have felt so overwhelmed!
The job - so I got my contract at the end of February and then I waited for the pink slip in March but thankfully it never came.  This means that I will have a job next year but because I was last hired I could end up anywhere doing anything.  I did put in a request to return to RE, there will be spots in kinder and third but not sure how things will shake out.  Three elementary schools will be getting new principals, including both JD and RE, so who knows.  On top of that we are taking a pay cut this year and probably for the next several years.  Work has been exhausting and mentally draining.  Hopefully, things will start to take a turn.  The nice thing is we will have furlough days in May and hopefully I will get some good quality time with the kids.

The kids - are doing well.  They enjoy riding their bikes and scooters outside.  Logan got the hang of pedaling last week, but is disappointed that he can't go fast yet.  He is a speed demon on his scooter and has realized how fast he can go if he goes down the driveway.  Annie is great at riding her bike and prefers it to her scooter.  I am grateful for good weather and the time change because we can fit in bike/scooter riding before going in for dinner.
They are saying funny things and can be such funny kids, they are however very trying.  They will push the limit at all times just to see what they can get away with.  We are focusing on being good listeners, boy is that hard.  I love my little guys and can't believe they will be 3 soon!
Me - well I guess I am finally ready to share some exciting news - we are expecting another baby in October!  I am very thankful I will have a job so I will have maternity leave, it really had me worried.  We would love to upgrade to a bigger house, but are quite sure how we would accomplish that.  I am quite fond of my office and catch all room, but it will be a nursery soon enough.   I am glad I will have the summer to purge and organize.  Unfortunately, I gave away a lot of our baby items, but I have already gotten some things back and others have promised to let me borrow when the time comes. I think life will be crazy but I think of the fact that there are 5 kids in my family and I love how crazy/fun family get togethers are.  I love seeing all the cousins get together and love each other.

Crazy as it is, with the furlough week, there are really only 6 weeks of school left.  I am really hoping I will know where I will be by the end of the year, I'd like to move classrooms sooner rather than later.

As promised, I will add pictures later :)

Easter and such

My big goof balls.  Logan was eating apple sauce and managed to get some in his hair and I couldn't resist a picture.

Playing in their kitchen.  I like that they will sometimes cook in their kitchen while I attempt to cook in ours.

The Easter Bunny visited our house and hid eggs for the kids and got them a bathing suit and small toy.  They were excited to find the eggs, but once Logan saw Iron Man his hunt for eggs was over.

We did a BIG hunt at my sister's house with all the cousins.  The kids were funny when finding eggs because there would be a ton right next to each other and they would pick up one or two and then go find a new spot.  Once Annie had a mostly full basket she told me she was all done and went to check out what she got.  She would open an egg, take one piece of candy from each one and eat it and then go digging for another egg.

Uncle Jason took a picture of the two of us and she had to get up to pose.

Logan was so excited to open up his eggs and find candy.  I had to stop him from trying to open up every piece of chocolate that he got.

We had a lot of fun at Cory's.  There was a lot of family and food.  The cousins all did so well playing with each other.  It was a perfect day, the sun was shinning and there was a nice cool breeze.

Robert had Monday off so we headed to Sea World (along with the rest of the Spring Breakers!!!)  I get a free pass for being a teacher, so we only had to purchase Robert a ticket.  Cory and the girls came too.  We stayed for a few hours and then called it a day deciding that now that we all have passes we can come back anytime.  I really liked the Manta Rays, they were very friendly and cool to watch.  We saw the Shamu show and Robert tried to convince us all to sit in the splash zone - No Thanks!

Enjoy the rest of your week!
